Bangalore Photo Contest

shijukumar, faculty member at amrita’s bangalore campus after receiving the prize for the best photography in the faculty category wrote:
"winning a dvd player-that is one of the best gifts i have ever received!” 

“it is a great thing that amritians are giving high preference for the faculty involvement in its activities."

Amritians has conducted a photography contest and exhibition at Bangalore on the theme 'I am an Indian'. Many alumni and faculties submitted their entries. The photos were displayed at MAM Bangalore Ashram during AMMA's visit.

Though, there were many good entries, Anil Dev &Rattan of MITES 2008 batch has won the prize for the alumni category. They both received Sony Music Players as gifts.

Rattan wrote:
"“I am an Indian” in the true spirit was showcased during the exhibition. My photograph titled “Together we can” was in a way to extend Amma’s voice to millions. It is her love and care that people from all walks of life across geographical boundaries come together.  All living being deserves care specially from us – humans.”

Mr.Shijukumar, faculty, ASE Bangalore has won a Sony DVD Player.

Mobile phones has been given to Mr.Avinash and team as they won the second prize for the contest.

In a special function organized at AMMA's Bangalore Asram, Swami Amrita Geetanandapuri distributed the prizes for the winners.

Subhashini who organized the event wrote:
"Organizing such an event gave me an idea of the larger picture on what Amritians are doing for the benefit of its members, society and the alma mater. I have no doubt that many more alumni will take the leadership in such activities in the future."
